As part of the Solidarity With Iraq programme, Alternatives, the Montreal Institute of International Studies (IEIM), the Quebec Women’s Federation and the World March of Women organized a public conference entitled "After the war, how to win peace ?
The conference addressed three main issues:
– How to advance the rights of Iraqi women in a context of war and occupation?
– What are the country’s prospects of coming out of the present chaos?
– And most importantly, what kinds of international solidarity with Iraq can take shape?
