Our Iraqi partners, supported by Canadian and European organizations, have been working on several campaigns individually, collectively, or with other national and international organizations.
All campaigns are implemented through a combination of local and national strategies, using lobby and advocacy, education and awareness, as well as traditional and non-traditional communication tools.
This campaign raises public awareness on the reality of violence against women, particularly domestic violence, stressing the role that civil society and the Iraqi state can play in addressing the issue.

The General Union of Students in Iraq, supported by fellow members of civil society, succeeded in implementing a free public transport scheme for University students in Baghdad.
After years of efforts, members of the IDFN and their partners finally obtained their objective in January 2010: an NGO law was passed that conforms to international norms and standards.
